Mohamed Morsy has since April 30, 2011 been chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party, a political party that was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood after the 2011 Egyptian revolution.[1]
Morsy was a member of the Guidance Office of the Muslim Brotherhood until the foundation of the Freedom and Justice Party; he was then elected by the MB's Guidance Office to be the first president of the new party.
